JONESBORO, Ark. — An 18-year-old Jonesboro suspect has been arrested on multiple felony and misdemeanor charges following an alleged domestic disturbance involving a knife, according to a probable cause affidavit filed in Craighead County.
Zayden Zyseanmontrea Bohanan, 18, of Jonesboro, was arrested on charges of aggravated assault on a family or household member and first-degree terroristic threatening, both Class D felonies, along with third-degree domestic battery.
According to the affidavit, officers responded Jan. 12, 2026, to a residence on Kersey Lane in reference to a domestic disturbance involving a knife. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the alleged victim in the driveway and observed redness and swelling around her right eye.
The alleged victim told officers her friend, identified as Bohanan, had physically assaulted her and threatened her with a knife. Bohanan was reportedly located in the carport area at the time officers arrived and was detained in handcuffs.
The affidavit states that while Bohanan was being placed into handcuffs, he made threats, including statements directed at the alleged victim. Officers noted the alleged victim had visible injuries consistent with being struck.
According to the affidavit, the alleged victim reported Bohanan became aggressive inside the residence, struck her multiple times, and slammed her head into a bedroom wall, leaving a hole approximately two feet wide. The document states Bohanan later forced entry back into the residence after the alleged victim locked him outside, damaging the door so it would no longer close securely.
The affidavit alleges Bohanan brandished a knife inside the residence, placed it against the alleged victim’s clothing near her stomach, and threatened her. The alleged victim told officers she was able to begin recording as Bohanan continued threatening her.
Bohanan was transported to the Craighead County Detention Center, where he was booked on the listed charges.
Bail was set at $25,000 cash or surety. A court date has not yet been listed.
All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
