PARAGOULD, Ark. — A Greene County defendant and registered sex offender is facing two charges of rape after an investigation by the sheriff’s office resulted in his arrest this week.
Jody Dildine, 56, of Paragould, was arrested on Aug. 18, 2025, on two counts of rape, a Class Y felony punishable by 10 to 40 years or life in prison.
According to the probable cause affidavit, on Aug. 18, the Greene County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a rape by a female under the age of 21.
A forensic interview was conducted with the alleged victim, who disclosed two different sexual acts that authorities say constitute rape by statute. Both of the incidents allegedly happened in Greene County.
A search warrant for the residence of Dildine was obtained. During the execution of the warrant, investigators say evidence corroborating the female’s statement was obtained.
Circuit Judge Randy Philhours set bail at $500,000 cash or surety, with a no-contact order for the victim and an ankle monitor requirement.
Dildine is listed as a Level 3 Sex Offender on the sheriff’s office website. The post states that he committed Assault with Intent to Commit Sexual Penetration on August 20, 1993.
All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
