JONESBORO, Ark. — An employee of Taco Bell is accused of stealing and using debit card numbers belonging to customers earlier this year in Jonesboro.
According to the probable cause affidavit, on January 17, 2025, Jonesboro officers were first dispatched to Taco Bell on Caraway Road about a fraud case. Officers met with the alleged victim, who said that between noon and 1 PM, she went through the drive-thru and used her Southern Bancorp card.
Then, on January 16, the victim noticed several unauthorized transactions at Best Buy, Hibbett Sports, Wrist Band Bro, and Victoria’s Secret totaling $677.50. The orders were placed with an address belonging to Santiana Jones at an address at the 1100 block of Links Drive.
A Taco Bell manager confirmed to JPD that Santiana Jones was working the register of the drive-through during the time the victim made her purchase.
In another case reported to JPD on January 29, a victim reported the same thing had happened to her after she went through the Taco Bell drive-thru on January 16, also confirmed to be when Jones was working. Charges were made to Miami ATV rentals, SP Fashion Nova, and Nike.com. The victim sent documentation showing a total of $700.45.
The total fraudulent charges between the two cases are $1,377.95
Santiana Artrice Jones, 20, of Blytheville, faces charges including two counts of theft of property for credit/debit cards, a Class D felony, theft greater than $1,000 but less than $5,000, a Class D felony, and fraudulent use of a credit card, a Class D felony. Class D felonies are punishable by up to six years in prison and up to a $10,000 fine.
On Monday, bail was set by Judge David Boling at $25,000 cash or surety.
All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
