Griffin Secures $100K Grant to Combat Human Trafficking in Arkansas

LITTLE ROCK — Arkansas Attorney General Tim Griffin announced Thursday that his office has secured a $100,000 grant to aid in the state’s efforts to fight human trafficking.

The grant, awarded by the Attorney General Alliance, follows Griffin’s recent participation in a bipartisan attorney general conference in Rome and Vatican City focused on addressing global human trafficking. Griffin said the trip was taken at no cost to taxpayers.

While at the conference, Griffin said he met with international experts, including those with experience in shutting down illicit massage parlors and one with detailed knowledge of the high-profile Andrew Tate case. He said some of these experts will be invited to Arkansas to provide training and share best practices.

“We are the most effective in our fight against international human trafficking right here in Arkansas when we are maximizing relationships, sharing information, and learning best practices,” Griffin said in a statement.

Details on how the grant will be used were not immediately released.
