Paragould Police Investigate Discovery of Deceased Male in Eight Mile Creek

PARAGOULD, Ark. — Authorities are investigating after a body was found on Thursday in Paragould.

A body was found floating in Eight Mile Creek on Thursday afternoon, March 7, according to Paragould Police Department Captain Jason Elms.

Emergency Services received calls about the body at approximately 12:58 p.m. Officers arrived at the scene and recovered the body of a deceased male near the water’s edge.

Police have not released the man’s identity or any details about the circumstances surrounding the discovery.

The investigation is ongoing.
