Sex Offender Arrested for Failure to Report in Paragould

PARAGOULD, Ark. — A registered sex offender required to notify authorities of a change of residence is accused of not doing so in Paragould.

The probable cause affidavit alleges that Kenneth White, 65, is required by Arkansas State Law to report to law enforcement within five days of entering their jurisdiction. The Paragould Police Department stated that the defendant had been living at an apartment in Paragould for over a month without notifying law enforcement.

The affidavit states that White did not alert police in either the jurisdiction he left or the one in Paragould.

White was arrested for failure to comply with registration requirements, a Class C felony in Arkansas. He was transported to the Greene County Detention Center. Bail was set at $25,000 cash or surety.

Online records from the Arkansas Department of Public Safety show White to be a level 2 sex offender convicted of rape with a moderate risk to the public. His previous address was the 2000 block of Pace in Pocahontas.

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
