PARAGOULD, Ark. — A suspect is facing a felony theft charge in Paragould after she allegedly stole between $5,000 and $8,000 from the local FFA Alumni Club.
Curtis Gonser, 48, of Paragould, faces a Class C felony charge of theft of property, greater than $5,000 but less than $25,000. On Wednesday, Sept. 4, Judge Dan Stidham found probable cause to charge Gonser and set her bond at $15,000 cash or surety. She has since bonded out of jail.
The probable cause affidavit details the alleged actions, claiming that the defendant stole as much as $8,000 from the Paragould FFA Alumni Club for personal use. According to the affidavit, the allegation was investigated, when it was learned that Gosner misappropriated funds from 2021 through 2024.
Police reportedly interviewed Gosner and after waiving her Miranda rights, she admitted to misusing the account and expressed interest in paying back whatever was owed.
A Class C felony theft charge is punishable by three to ten years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000.
All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
