JONESBORO, Ark. – A man was arrested over the weekend in Jonesboro on allegations he possessed a stolen firearm.
On June 7, 2024, the Second Judicial District Drug Task Force received a tip that a suspect on probation in Jonesboro was in possession of a stolen firearm out of Randolph County.
DTF agents and investigators with JPD’s Street Crimes Unit coalesced at the 2300-block of Willow Road at around 10:30 AM on June 7. Officers made contact with the suspect’s wife and informed her of the reason for their visit.
When investigators entered the home, they reported finding the suspect asleep in bed. Next to him, on a bedside table, was a loaded .22 caliber Kel-Tec pistol reported stolen out of Randolph County.
Initially, the suspect claimed the pistol belonged to his wife, the report said.
Christopher Dallas Davis, 26, of Jonesboro, was arrested for felony theft by receiving and felony possession of firearm by certain persons.
All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
