JONESBORO, Ark. – A woman faces a charge of possession with intent to deliver, a felony, after authorities say they found over 18 pounds of marijuana inside of a storage unit she used.
It began with a drug bust last week in Jonesboro, according to JPD Public Information Specialist Sally Smith. JPD posted about the bust on April 26 on their social media page, with several bags of weed and loads of cash shown in the photos.

However, the case was apparently not yet finished. A man was arrested on April 25 at Willow Creek Apartments, Smith said. As authorities continued the investigation, they learned one of the witnesses in that case was a potential suspect.
Agents with the Second Judicial Drug Task Force learned during the investigation that additional marijuana was being stored in a storage locker at Halsey Self Storage, 4200 Caraway Road. Investigators made contact with management who granted access to the facility’s camera systems.
Officers reviewed footage showing a female identified as the arrestee accessing the storage locker on April 22. The footage reportedly showed the woman depositing a single black trash bag into the unit. No other visitors accessed the locker between then and April 26, when officers arrived.
In the locker, authorities found several vacuum sealed bags of marijuana. The report states that 8,346 grams of weed, or a little over 18 pounds, was recovered. The estimated street value was $15,000.
Clarencia Shrenea Thomas, 25, of Jonesboro, was arrested for possession of a schedule VI substance with purpose to deliver, a felony. Her next court date is set for July 29.
