PARAGOULD, Ark. – A man faces felony charges after an alleged domestic violence incident this week in Paragould.
The probable cause affidavit states that officers were informed on March 11 that the suspect had held a victim against her will while repeatedly beating her with his fist and a handgun. During this, he allegedly threatened to kill her if she tried to leave, with the report saying he told her she would die before the day was over.
At some point, she was also struck in the back of the head with a blunt object that split her head opened.
The alleged victim was able to escape and find help, but police say the suspect continued to chase her in a pickup truck while waving a gun and threatening them.
Eventually, the alleged victim was able to receive medical care at a local hospital. She received multiple stitches for the wound on the back of her head as well as a wound next to her ear. Officers observed multiple bruises, a black eye, and swelling consistent with the victim’s narrative.
Jason Caccamise, 39, of Paragould, faces charges including domestic battering in the second degree and false imprisonment in the first degree, both class C felonies. The suspect also faces charges of aggravated assault and terroristic threatening, both class D felonies.
All suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
