Jonesboro Woman Faces Multiple Felony Charges Following Traffic Violation and Probation Search

JONESBORO, Ark. – A traffic violation led to a probation search resulting in numerous felony charges for a Jonesboro woman last week.

It happened around 12:29 PM on January 26, 2024 at the 400-block of E. Johnson Avenue. A silver 2015 Buick Encore was stopped for a traffic violation, with the incident report noting an improper turn and no seat-belt use. With the suspect apparently on probation, authorities decided to perform a probation search of the suspect’s residence at the 500-block of 2nd Street.

Authorities found a number of different controlled substances. The incident report shows the following items logged into evidence:

  • 14.9 grams of an unknown blue/purple powder
  • 11.5 grams of suspected meth in a plastic baggie
  • 5.3 grams of meth from a small cylinder inside of a bigger one
  • 4.2 grams of meth from a plastic cylinder
  • 2.5 grams of meth from the bottom of a metal box
  • 2.2 grams of meth in a plastic baggie
  • 1.3 grams of meth from a glass pipe in the bedroom
  • 1 green ecstasy pill
  • 1 marijuana joint

A firearm was also located on the suspect, the report says.

Cindy Pacheco, 31, of Jonesboro, was arrested on felony charges including simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, possession of meth with purpose to deliver, possession of a defaced firearm, possession of a schedule I or II substance, drug paraphernalia, and possession of firearm by certain persons. Several misdemeanors for possession are also pending.

As of this publication, she is being held in Craighead County Detention Center on a bond of $150,000
