Paragould Man Faces Felony Theft Charge After Allegedly Taking and Returning Vehicle from Dealership

PARAGOULD, Ark. – A man faces a felony charge of theft after he is alleged to have taken a vehicle off the lot of a car dealership before returning it.

The Paragould Police Department was dispatched on January 27, 2024 to Glen Sain Ford, 1301 Highway 49 North, according to the probable cause affidavit. Officers were dispatched to take a report about a stolen vehicle, allegedly taken the night before.

While taking the report, officers were advised by another employee that the vehicle was back on the lot.

Police contacted the suspect and according to the affidavit, he confessed to being in possession of the vehicle, Detective Corporal Tron Beesley wrote in the report. Officers transported him to the police substation for questioning, where they reported he gave self-incriminating statements during a mirandized interview.

Gabriel Arnold, of Paragould, is being charged with theft of property, greater than $5,000 but less than $25,000, a felony.

As of this publication, he is being held in Greene County Detention Center.

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
