PARAGOULD, Ark. – A Jonesboro woman is facing felony charges, including drug possession and forgery, following her recent arrest in Paragould.

According to the probable cause affidavit from the Paragould Police Department, on December 18, police received a report of forgery from a local bank. Subsequent investigations led officers to contact the suspect at a local motel.

Upon arrival, police observed the suspect throwing a blue canister back into the motel room. The canister, seized by authorities, was found to contain 13.1 grams of methamphetamine.

Additionally, a consented search of the room revealed multiple items of drug paraphernalia commonly associated with the distribution and use of methamphetamine, the affidavit stated. It was later confirmed that the suspect had a previous conviction for a drug paraphernalia charge.

The suspect was taken into custody, during which she reportedly made self-incriminating statements during questioning.

Jenni Clayton, 40, of Jonesboro, faces charges including possession of meth with the intent to deliver (a Class A felony), possession of drug paraphernalia (a Class D felony), and forgery (a Class C felony). Judge Dan Stidham set her bond at $1 million.
