JONESBORO, Ark. — An ex employee of a local car dealership is alleged to have stolen a massive amount from the business over a period of time, a recent report filed with JPD alleges.

On October 6, Central Buick GMC, located at 2907 East Parker Road, reported a significant theft amounting to approximately $22,000. The alleged theft occurred over a span of time between August 1 and September 13, and the suspect is described as a 42-year-old white male, who was an ex-employee of the dealership at the time of the report.

Details regarding the specific circumstances of the theft were not disclosed in the available report. However, the investigation is ongoing, and authorities are working to gather more information regarding the incident.

In Arkansas, theft involving amounts greater than $5,000 but less than $25,000 is classified as a Class C felony. If convicted, the perpetrator may face a prison sentence ranging from three to ten years, in addition to fines of up to $10,000.

The case remains under investigation, and additional details may emerge as law enforcement proceeds with their inquiry.
