Shooting Incident Rocks Jonesboro Neighborhood, No Injuries Reported

JONESBORO, Ark. – A shooting incident created chaos in a Jonesboro neighborhood during the early hours of Saturday, September 30. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

The incident unfolded between 3:22 AM and 4:29 AM at the 200-block of Phillip Evans Way in Jonesboro. Law enforcement responded to a call reporting shots fired. According to the police report, at least one individual discharged a firearm, striking both a vehicle and a residence. Authorities discovered eight Luger .40 caliber shell casings and twelve 9mm Smith and Wesson shell casings at the scene, along with a bullet fragment.

Police also observed damage to the exterior of a residence, with bullet holes extending into the interior living area. Additionally, a vehicle had been struck by the gunfire.

As of the latest report, no arrests have been made, and it remains unclear whether the police have any leads to pursue in their investigation.
