Police confiscate envelope with meth sent to jail

JONESBORO, Ark. – A strange incident led police to discover meth in the mail this week in Jonesboro.

It happened on March 27. Apparently, an envelope meant for the Craighead County Detention Center somehow ended up delivered to the court clerk’s office at 410 W. Washington. Officers with the Jonesboro Police Department responded and took the incident report. Inside of the envelope was white powdery substance believed to be meth.

Officers collected the evidence and took a written statement. No arrests were visible in the report.
