TRUMANN, Ark. – A man is accused of selling drugs in a release from the Trumann Police Department this week.

Jeff Austin, the owner of Austin’s House of Smoke in Trumann, was arrested Monday for several drug charges from a search of his business and home. The Trumann Police Department received information that Austin was involved in the illegal sales of controlled substances in his store.

A search of Austin’s House of Smoke, and personal vehicle by Trumann PD, 2nd Judicial Drug Task Force, and Alcohol Beverage Control (Tobacco Division) resulted in marijuana illegally packaged for sale. A subsequent search of Austin’s home in Monette found 2.45 ounces of Methamphetamine, which also tested positive for Fentanyl, along with 6.55 ounces of marijuana and drug paraphernalia and $1,655 in cash.

Austin is being held in lieu of a Probable Cause hearing on multiple drug-related charges. Kristi Austin, the wife of Jeff, was also arrested on drug charges.
