JONESBORO, Ark. – A suspect ended up being arrested on Sunday in Jonesboro after police say he rear-ended a victim and then left the scene.

The accident happened around noon December 18 at the 3200-block of East Johnson Avenue. Police responded to the hit and run accident where a 75-year-old woman was the victim, but the suspect didn’t remain at the scene.

Officers ended up making their way to the home address of the suspect, who apparently still didn’t want to cooperate. When officers arrived at the 1800-block of Metzler, the report says the suspect tried to pull away and get into the residence.

Andrew Douglas Graham, 37, of Jonesboro, was arrested on charges including resisting arrest, leaving the scene of an accident, and a failure to appear warrant. Jail records also show a charge of driving on a suspended license.

He was booked at the Craighead County Detention Center at 1:37 PM December 18 and released the following evening.
