Several vehicle thefts reported over Thanksgiving weekend in Jonesboro

Jonesboro, Ark. – Several people were victims of felony theft related to stolen vehicles as we rolled into the Thanksgiving weekend in Jonesboro.

A report filed on Wednesday (November 23) stated that a black 2015 Kia Soul was stolen on November 18 from the 3300-block of East Nettleton Avenue.

Officers were dispatched Saturday afternoon to the 2500-block of East Johnson Avenue in reference to a stolen vehicle. A gray 2017 Dodge Challenger was reported stolen over the previous 12 hours.

Authorities located one stolen vehicle Saturday afternoon and made an arrest. Around 4 PM near the intersection of Cate and Bridge, police found a 2022 Kia Rio being driven by Kenneth Lee Wilson, 47, of Jonesboro, Wilson was arrested for felony theft.

A woman reported a suspect took her keys and vehicle without permission Sunday between 10 AM and around 8 PM at the 900-block of Belt. The victim was a friend to the suspect and the vehicle appeared to have been recovered by the time the report was visible to the public.

Early Monday morning, a vehicle theft report was filed at the 3700-block of Kristi Lake Drive. A woman said at about 4:50 AM, she went to warm up her car. At 5:20 AM, it was stolen. The vehicle is a maroon Ford Focus 4-door with a dent in the passenger side.
