Sex offender compliance checks result in arrests in Izard County

A press release from the Izard County Sheriff’s Office detailed multiple arrests of sex offenders during compliance checks last week.

On April 21, the Arkansas Department of Corrections Division of Community Corrections requested the assistance of the Izard County Sheriff’s Office with compliance checks of registered sex offenders in Izard County. Eighteen registered sex offenders were checked during the operation. Several were found to be out of compliance and are facing additional charges. Others have possible charges pending, the release said.

Timothy Woods, 41, of Franklin has been charged with three counts of failure to comply with registration and reporting requirements, class C felonies, possession of a controlled substance a class D felony and possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor. Bond was set at $15,000.

Timothy Kent, 52, of Texas has been charged with failure to comply with registration and reporting requirements, a class C felony and possession of a firearm by a certain person, a class D felony and as a habitual offender. Bond was set at $15,000.

Donnie Vest, 68, of Melbourne was arrested and on hold for another agency.

Kenneth Ward, 57, of Melbourne was arrested and on hold for another agency.

Larry Wayne Horton, 52, of Oxford was charged with disorderly conduct, two counts of failure to comply with registration and reporting requirements, class C felonies, aggravated assault upon a certified law enforcement officer, a class D felony and being a habitual offender. Bond was set at $25,000.

Cody Lee Stacy, 46,of Pineville was arrested and on hold for another agency.

Other arrests from the week of April 17-23

Additional individuals were also arrested last week on various charges, according to Chief Deputy Charley Melton.

Jimmy Tunnicliff, 57, of Calico Rock was arrested April 18 on a return to court order.

Carrie Robinson, 54, of Mammoth Spring was arrested April 18 on a failure to appear

Mitchell Allen Wilson, 37, of Calico Rock was arrested April 18 for vehicle to be driven on the right side of the road, possession of a controlled substance, speeding and no driver’s license. Bond was set at $1,585.

Kenneth Eugene Allen, 26, of Elizabeth was arrested April 19 and charged with failure to appear, terroristic threatening 1st Degree, a class D felony, resisting arrest and being a habitual offender.

Jerrell Hightower, 41, of Franklin was arrested April 20 and charged with two counts of aggravated assault which are class D felonies. Bond was set at $5,000.

Leah D. Roberts, 38, of Searcy was arrested April 21 for driving on a suspended license, no vehicle license and no proof of insurance.

Daniel Ray Young, 30, of Oxford was arrested April 21 for possession of a controlled substance and is on hold for another agency.

Andrea Michelle Lewis, 31, of Caufield, Mo., was arrested April 22 for violation of the Omnibus DWI Act.

Nicky Joe Wallis, 45, of Searcy was arrested April 22 for driving on a suspended license.

Chad Langston, 37, of Melbourne was arrested April 24 on a parole hold.

Matthew Lee Champion, 22, of Cherokee Village was arrested April 24 for driving on a suspended license.

Jessica Newman, 38, of Sidney was arrested April 24 for domestic battery 3rd Degree.
