Stuff the Bus 2019 is this weekend

JONESBORO, Ark. – Join Jonesboro Radio Group THIS WEEKEND to help Stuff The Bus and insure that every child has a successful school year.

Saturday, August 3, from 9 a.m. until 3 .pm., they’re collecting school supplies for children in need in Northeast Arkansas. Stop by any of the drop off points with your supplies and say hello to the volunteers!

Jonesboro Radio Group and KAIT personalities will be at many of the locations.

Supply drop off points are the big yellow buses in front of the Wal-Mart in one of these towns:

– Jonesboro

– Pocahontas

– Trumann

– Paragould

– Walnut Ridge

– Wynne

– Osceola

Items needed include paper, pencils, crayons, backpacks, and any other items you can find on your local school supply list. All of the supplies collected will help fill back packs across Northeast Arkansas to help as many children as possible have what they need to learn effectively.

This year’s event will once again be held during Tax Free Weekend, allowing you to save money and help even more! The 2019 Sales Tax Holiday is from 12:01 a.m. on August 3 to 11:59 p.m. on August 4. During this time, you will be able to purchase school supplies, art material, instructional supplies, and clothing free of state and local sales or use tax. You can visit http://www.dfa.arkansas.gov for more information.

Stuff The Bus is made possible through United Way of Northeast Arkansas, Crowley’s Ridge Development Council(CRDC), KAIT, and Jonesboro Radio Group.
