JONESBORO, Ark. – A blast from the past is on it’s way to Jonesboro!
On April 26, 2019 The Best of the Oldies Show returns to Jonesboro. The 7 PM show will be at The Forum, 115 East Monroe Avenue. The show is sponsored by Rotary Clubs in NEA.
“People who come to it can’t believe the talent and the quality of the show,” Joe Wessel, producer of the event, said. “A lot of people tell us that it’s better than shows they see in Branson.”
The Oldies show is known for local singing talent and performers. The evening features a fast-paced, energy-filled journey back to the golden age of the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s and 80’s.
“I think it’s the music and kids love that music even today,” Wessel said. “We’ve got them coming from all over the state to this show.”
A few of the names in the line-up to perform include Richie Williams, Lori Dial, Ryan Fisher, Suzie Stacy, Shannon Freeman, Chandler Gill, Savannah Morris, Sam Morris, Craig Morris and Donna Rhodes Morris.
This Best of the Oldies Show will be in conjunction with the Rotary Club of Jonesboro’s 100 year celebration. This local Rotary Club founded in 1919. The new Rotary Centennial Plaza in downtown Jonesboro will be dedicated at 4 pm across from the Forum.
The show will benefit Rotary here in Northeast Arkansas. Rotary causes include ending polio, eliminating hunger, providing water/sanitation and medical care.
