“Maserati Merk” arrested for Georgia murder in Jonesboro

JONESBORO, Ark. – A suspect wanted for homicide out of Newnan, Georgia arrested in Jonesboro today but he’s no stranger to police.

On March 20, members of the US Marshal Service Eastern Arkansas Fugitive Task Force along with members of the Jonesboro Police Department Street Crimes Unit arrested 23 year old Quenterius Finch in North Jonesboro. Finch is also known as “Maserati Merk.”

Based on a March 8 warrant for homicide out of Newnan, Georgia, the US Marshals EAFTF and JPD SCU obtained information about Mr. Finch’s whereabouts and he was arrested at the Garden Manor Apartments in Jonesboro.

Finch was transported to the Craighead County Detention Center to await extradition back to Georgia.

The suspect has been in the news before. He’s a relative of several other career criminals who were shot in a drug deal gone bad. It happened on Jan. 2 at a residents on Galaxy St. in Jonesboro. That home had a search warrant executed at it months prior.

Also injured in the shooting was Finch’s brother, Chauncey “Jiggah” Thomas, who has been arrested for the Basement shooting in 2017. Another brother, Cedric, was injured as well.

Jiggah has since returned to jail. Police have targeted the outlaw family for some time, however, with one prosecutorial source saying Thomas repeatedly was at the scene of shootings or murders. That statement came in 2017 but has since held true.

The family of Finch has embraced the criminal lifestyle, an NEA Report investigation found. Our reporter spent several months in communication with one of the close contacts with the family. The girlfriend of Thomas made Facebook statements during his previous arrest about being with him until “the end.” Other relatives have (and probably are about to again) attack NEA Report for outing their ‘contributions’ to society.
