At about 4:30 AM on Friday, Jan. 18, the White County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Shell gas station in El Paso, Arkansas. The call to authorities was that an armed robbery had taken place.
When investigators arrived, they began speaking to several employees described the same key details: a white male, wearing a white bandanna and gloves, came into the store and demanded money while brandishing a gun. The suspect left with an undisclosed amount of money. It didn’t end there.
A short time later, the same suspect allegedly robbed Keith’s Service Center in Vilonia.
A joint investigation was launched between the Vilonia and Cabot Police Departments. They developed a suspect: Cody Lane Cagle.
Tuesday, Feb. 5, a search warrant was executed at Cagle’s home in Cabot. Authorities reported finding and collecting evidence. Cagle was then brought to the White County Sheriff’s Department where he was advised of his Miranda Rights. Cagle spoke to investigators and provided a statement that authorities say indicates his involvement in the armed robbery of both stores.
Cagle was arrested for Aggravated Robbery, a Class Y Felony and booked into the White County Detention Center. He has a court date of April 2 at 9:00 am, in White County Circuit Court and will appear before the Circuit Court later today (Feb. 6) at which time a bond will be set
