Two Juveniles Arrested after Early Monday Robbery at McDonald’s on Johnson

JONESBORO, Ark. – The Johnson Avenue McDonald’s was the location of an armed robbery early Monday afternoon, a new press release states.

Approximately 1:14 p.m. on January 21st, Jonesboro police were dispatched to McDonalds, on Johnson Avenue, in regards to an armed robbery. The juvenile victim stated to police that he had listed an iPhone for sale online and was contacted by a potential buyer, who wanted to meet at the Johnson location.

Two juvenile subjects approached the victim inside McDonalds and ask for him to step outside to make the transaction. Once outside, one suspect pulled a gun from his waistline, demanding the victim to hand over the phone. The two juvenile suspects fled north on foot.

After an on scene investigation, police apprehended the two juveniles and placed them into custody pending formal charges, the release said.
