JONESBORO, Ark. – A suspect is armed and barricaded in an apartment at the Gladiolus Apartments in Jonesboro.
It began when the suspect shot a victim multiple times, according to the Jonesboro Police Department’s public information officer on the scene. Sgt. Lyle Waterworth told NEA Report one person was airlifted to Regional Medical Center in Memphis.
He also described the tense scene as “dynamic,” as the suspect had barricaded himself into one of the units following the incident.
Several who joined NEA Report’s live coverage and said they lived at the scene claimed it was a maintenance man who had been shot. This is unverified by police, as of this writing.
