Suspects rob man at gunpoint in his Jonesboro home

JONESBORO, Ark. – Another heinous crime has been reported in Jonesboro in the form of an armed robbery of a resident on Parkwood Road.

On Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at approximately 8:20pm Officers with the Jonesboro Police Department were sent to the 3400 block of Parkwood Road. Once on scene they were directed to the intersection of Thorn Street and Race Street and made contact with an injured male there.

The male subject told responding officers that he was alone in his home when two subjects that were unknown to him forced their way into his home through the back door. The subjects both had handguns and demanded his wallet. He complied and then was questioned about there being more money. One of the subjects then struck him on the head with his handgun and caused injury.

The two subjects then left the home and took the victim’s wallet and his PlayStation 4 with them.

An ambulance was called for the victim and he received medical attention for the injury he had suffered and was then transported to a local hospital to continue his medical care.

Detectives were called to the scene to process the home for evidence and speak to the victim.

At this time there have been no arrest in this ongoing investigation.
