Four arrested for child porn in Jonesboro

JONESBORO, Ark. – Several suspects have been arrested for internet stalking of a child and computer child pornography, a release from JPD said Wednesday.

Detectives with the Jonesboro Police Department’s ICAC (Internet Crimes Against Children) Division have arrested four subjects, so far, as part of an ongoing operation.

60 year old Randall Floyd Prescott of Jonesboro, 34 year old Jimmy Joe Hampton of Paragould and 23 year old Johnny Smith Hendrix of Lepanto have been arrested for Internet Stalking of a Child and Computer Child Pornography. Prescott was issued a $35,000 bond. Hendrix and Hampton where each issued a $50,000 bond.

34 year old Eric Curtis McQuay of Pocahontas has been arrested for Distributing, Possessing, or Viewing of Matter Depicting Sexually Explicit Conduct Involving a Child. McQuay is still awaiting a Probable Cause hearing where his bond will be issued.

Because of sensitive information involved, no other details were released, said Cpl. David McDaniel with JPD.

These arrests are a result of a continued effort by the Detectives in the ICAC Division and their work to protect our community’s youth from online predators. The Jonesboro Police Department’s SCU (Street Crimes Unit), Arkansas State Police, and Trumann Police Department assisted ICAC during the arrests.
