JONESBORO, Ark. – Jonesboro Police Department detectives are investigating a homicide after a woman was found dead under suspicious circumstances on March 17th, 2018 in north Jonesboro.
At approximately 7:50 p.m., Medical First Responders were sent to Gilbert Street for a call of a woman who was not breathing. Upon their arrival, they located the body of the victim, 37 year old Shonda Gonzalez, inside her home.
Officers with the Jonesboro Police Department arrived a short time later and called investigators to the scene. There were no signs of forced entry to the home and investigators learned the victim had a medical condition that may have explained her death. The preliminary report from the crime lab on March 20th has ruled the death as a homicide.
