More development expected near Malco by Steak-N-Shake

JONESBORO, Ark. – The announcement of a 2.3 acre purchase by the forthcoming Steak-N-Shake location near the Malco Hollywood in Jonesboro indicates even more could be on the way in the booming area.

A release from Haag Brown commercial says the 2.3 acre lot beside Steak-N-Shake in Jonesboro sold to a new owner who strongly believes in the location and is hopeful to develop the lot in the coming months.

Within the last 18 months, the area along I-555 has become recognized as Jonesboro’ s top entertainment district, the release said. The longstanding Malco Hollywood Theater continues to be a major draw for customers across Northeast Arkansas. Hijinx Family Entertainment Center just completed the expansion of their facility which includes the addition of a foam factory, lasertron arena, rope obstacle course, 4 story contained play area, and updated arcade. Ultimate Air, a 10,000+ square foot indoor trampoline park, and Lockdown, The Escape Room opened in the market last year.

An additional lot is for sale containing 1.15 acres and borders Steak n’ Shake to the east, Haag Brown said. The property can be directly accessed by Ben Lamberth Drive which runs beside the Malco theater.
