
POCAHONTAS, Ark. – “The Woman in Black” has begun its spine-chilling run at the Downtown Playhouse in Pocahontas. The thriller, which has been staged around the world, will continue through November.
The play tells the story of an attorney who has been troubled since he attended the funeral of an elderly recluse and caught sight of the woman in black. Haunted by the vision, he hires an actor to help him recreate the events of that dark and stormy night.
The production is sponsored by Anderson Refrigeration of Pocahontas, a certified Trane dealer, and it is directed by Kelly Grooms.
Dessert and a beverage are included in the cost of admission. Dessert offerings include: Double Coconut Creme Pie, Hershey’s S’mores Creme Pie, Cinnamon Apple Pound Cake and Sugar-Free JELLO Parfait.
Tickets are $19.60, including dessert and tax. “The Woman and Black” will be presented Octber 31 and November 3, 4, 10, 11, 12, 17, 18, 19, 24 and 25.
