Local state trooper among those promoted

LITTLE ROCK – The Arkansas State Police Commission today approved three recommendations for promotion presented for consideration by Colonel Bill Bryant, Director of the Arkansas State Police.

Sergeant Michael Moyer, 42, of Faulkner County, was promoted to the rank of lieutenant.  He will serve in an assistant command role within the department’s Regulatory and Building Operations Division.

Lieutenant Moyer is a thirteen year veteran of the department.

Corporal David Jones, 45, of Independence County, was promoted to the rank of sergeant.  He will serve as a post supervisor within the department’s Highway Patrol Division, Troop B.

Sergeant Jones is a seventeen year veteran of the department.

Corporal Kevin Brown, 38, of Van Buren County, was promoted to the rank of sergeant.  He will serve as a supervisor within the department’s Criminal Investigation Division, Company D.

Sergeant Brown is a twelve year veteran of the department.
