
POCAHONTAS, Ark. – A man who was in Hot Springs is on his way back to Pocahontas to face three felony charges for allegedly making shooting threats.
On Monday, June 26, 2017, Pocahontas Police Department was notified by a local staffing agency that they had received a phone call from an individual stating that they were going to “shoot up” Peco, and then go the staffing agency and “shoot it up.”
Pocahontas Police responded to these locations, as well as conducting searches in the area where it is believed that the call originated, a press release said.
On Tuesday, Pocahontas Police Department obtained a warrant for the arrest of the suspect, Welford Dylan West. West faces three counts of terroristic threatening. Each count is a Class D Felony charge.
West was arrested in Hot Springs, Arkansas and is being extradited to Pocahontas for arraignment.
A bond hearing date has not yet been set.
