JONESBORO, Ark. – If you see a black or dark color Ford Taurus with a red hood in Jonesboro, possibly driven by a heavy-set white male, JPD could use a tip on the license plate number and possibly where the suspect is at, too.

On Wednesday at about 5:05 p.m., police arrived to Main and Woodrow Street where an accident had taken place. The victim was still there but the person who was reportedly at fault had decided to run instead of stay and face the consequences.

The victim said she was driving northbound on Main Street in the outside lane and made a right turn onto Woodrow Street. Then, a black Ford Taurus with a red hood rear ended her as she started to turn. Her vehicle was pushed off of the roadway and struck a stop sign at the northeast corner of the intersection before she said the vehicle continued northbound on Main.

The driver was described as a heavy-set white male. The license plate number was not visible to her.

A stop sign was destroyed by the woman’s vehicle.

If you know any information which could help police find the man responsible, call Crimestoppers at 870-935-7867 (STOP).
