Suspect in Gee Street shooting charged

JONESBORO, Ark. – The man believed by police to have fired gunshots at the Home Sweet Home apartments early Tuesday was arrested a short time after the incident.

Anthony McPhink, 25, of Trumann, was before a judge Tuesday afternoon, where probable cause to charge him was found on both felony terroristic act and felony possession of a firearm by certain persons.

The probable cause affidavit says he stepped out of a blue vehicle shortly after midnight on Gee Street and began shooting at a vehicle at the Home Sweet Home Apartments. He was caught by surveillance footage and arrested a short time later during a traffic stop.

His next court appearance is June 27.
