JPD investigating fatal Monday wreck

JONESBORO, Ark. – Officers are investigating a fatal accident involving a motorcycle and SUV from Monday.

At approximately 3:04p.m. on Monday, May 8, Jonesboro police officers were dispatched to an accident with injury at Magnolia Rd. and North Church St. between a motorcycle and SUV.

As officers arrived, they discovered that the driver of the motorcycle, 36-year-old Nicholes Koegel of Jonesboro, was deceased. The driver of the SUV, 44-year-old Christie Harris, was not injured.

Per state law, Harris was taken to St. Bernard’s for a blood draw.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
