Lepanto parole violator arrested during traffic stop

JONESBORO, Ark. – A man wanted for violating his parole was arrested during a simple traffic stop on Thursday.

At 11:57 p.m. on 4/20, Jonesboro Police Officer Cheyenne Jordan stopped a 2009 silver Chevy Malibu on Parker and Mead. The driver, Leonard Tumbs, 28, of Lepanto, gave his driver’s license to the officer.

After Jordan checked with dispatch, she learned Tumbs was delinquent for a parole violation. He was subsequently arrested without incident for the violation. He also faces a charge of no proof of insurance.

Tumbs was taken to Craighead County Detention Center.
