JONESBORO, Ark. – Jonesboro police have arrested a 16-year-old male in connection with Monday morning’s shooting death of a Jonesboro woman.
The suspect, whose name police did not release, is expected to appear in court Tuesday for a probable cause hearing on a murder charge.
Police responded to a “shots heard” complaint in the 400 block of North Allis Street about 12:40 Monday morning, and upon arrival found Alicia Carr, 21, of Jonesboro, suffering from a gunshot wound.
The victim was taken to a Jonesboro hospital, where she died later Monday morning.
Detectives collected a number of items of evidence and interviewed a number of witnesses in order to develop leads in the ongoing investigation.
