Cellular bandits sought for swiping several cell phones

JONESBORO, Ark. – Two suspects are being sought for using the five-finger discount on as many cell phones at a Jonesboro store.

Now, they may end up with a different kind of cell.

Jonesboro Police Department took the report Thursday at Walmart on Highland Drive, where a loss prevention employee advised five cell phones were discovered missing from near the cash register area.

After reviewing security footage, it was discovered the phones were stolen on Tuesday by a black male and another individual whose gender was unidentifiable. In the footage, employees noted the two were seen removing the phones from the shelf and walking to the automotive section. Then, the two remove the phones from the packaging and exit the business through the automotive section.

Once outside, the suspects get into a black four-door Mercury, possibly Marquis, and leave the area.

The phones were Straight Talk cell phones valued at $250, total.

The suspects face shoplifting charges.
