Someone is stealing D’s from Woodland Heights

JONESBORO, Ark. – It sounds like the plot of a Sesame Street episode: someone is stealing the letter D from a neighborhood in Jonesboro.

Specifically, the entrance sign to the Woodland Heights subdivision, at South Culberhouse Street and Savannah Drive, has been targeted by thieves over the past 18 to 24 months – and not just once. On a total of three separate occasions, crooks stole the two letters “d” from the sign.

Each time, the letter was replaced at some of the residents’ expense. A total of six letters, valued at $126.00, have been taken.

The most recent theft occurred Monday night, Dec. 19, according to the Jonesboro Police Department incident report.

Anyone with information about someone who has an unusual number of “D”s laying around is asked to contact JPD Detective Mike Branscum at 870-935-6710.
