HARRISBURG, Ark.- A quick stop in Harrisburg has helped make a quick buck for the March of Dimes.
Jordan’s Kwik Stop in Harrisburg has successfully exceeded their expected goal in the 10K Cut-Out campaign, according to Lauren Bassie, Development Manager for NE and Central Arkansas March of Dimes.
They have raised $14,000 to go back to the mission of March of Dimes.
“The mission of the March of Dimes is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality,” Bassie said. “Currently in Arkansas, we lose six babies a week due to prematurity, so donations like this will go directly back to fighting that statistic. We are so proud of Jordan’s Kwik Stop, their hard work and commitment to bringing awareness to northeast Arkansas about prematurity.”
Jordan’s issued a press release to thank all customers for their work.
“We have 43 locations that participated and everyone did a great job with the customers raising money,” The press release said. “We had a contest with all the stores to see who could raise the most money for the March of Dimes. 1st place was #8 Waldenburg $2711.00 Maria Bogard, 2nd place was #22 Paragould $2510.00 Cheryl Clark and 3rd place was # 41 Brookland $2299.00 Tina Teague. We would like to say thank you to all of our customers who helped Jordan’s raise 14,000.00 for the March of Dimes.”
