JONESBORO, Ark. – While a couple laid asleep in the bedroom, one or more criminals rummaged through their home, stealing personal belonging and a sense of security which can never be retrieved.

The report was made with Jonesboro Police Department on Friday. At an apartment complex on the 1500-block of Medallion Drive the night before, a wife and her husband slept. However, the wife had reportedly left the door unlocked the previous night.

When the two woke up the next morning, they immediately noticed many items missing. Three Northface jackets were stolen, along with the man and woman’s respective wallets. The keys to the vehicles were taken and both of their vehicles were rummaged through, but nothing was missing.

The couple showed officers where the suspect tried using the woman’s card at 1:45 a.m. at the Parker Road Walmart for $408. Later at 2:04 a.m., a transaction for $365 was attempted at the Harrisburg Road Walmart.

The suspect faces felony charges for theft of the cards and for residential burglary. They also face charges including theft of $1000 or less, fraudulent use of a credit card, and criminal trespass in a vehicle – all misdemeanors.

If you can help JPD find the criminal behind the act, call Crimestoppers at 935-STOP.
