JONESBORO, Ark. – A woman reported robbers put a gun to her head and force their way into her home Thursday in Jonesboro.

The incident was reported at 1 p.m. Thursday by a resident at the 300-block of Walnut Street in Jonesboro. The 41-year-old victim said two suspects knocked on her door and asked if “Mike” was home. She opened the door, having a relative by the name, and one of the suspects put a black 9mm handgun to her head to force their way inside, she said.

“Give me the money,” they shouted, according to the report.

But the woman said she had no idea what they were talking about. The suspects removed pillows from the couch and loveseat in search of their monetary motivation, but to no avail.

The woman said they then forced her to the ground and made her put her face in a bag of dog food. Still at gunpoint, they told her not to move. At some point in all of the madness, she was struck several times in the back of the head, as well.

When the criminals departed, the woman said she ran to the neighbor’s apartment and called her husband and the Jonesboro Police Department.

The two male suspects were described as black, age 30 to 40, with one standing about 5’7″ and having a 180 pound build. The woman did not get a clear look at the men, she said. They were reported to have been wearing gloves but no masks.

Detectives began investigating the case Friday.
