JONESBORO, Ark. – While a woman was at her apartment, she reported three assailants busting in, beating her up and then stealing jewelry from her.

The report was made about 1:30 p.m. Thursday afternoon at 923 East Craighead Forest Road. The victim said three had entered her home, beat her up and took her jewelry. Jonesboro police arrived to find the apartment ransacked. Tables were overturned, every drawer was pulled out, lamps were broken and pictures pulled off of the walls.

The victim was also worse for the wear, with multiple injuries including a bruise on her right upper arm, a knot and scratch by her right eye and ligature marks around the neck from being choked by a lamp cord.

She told officers the names of the suspects – redacted from the report provided by JPD – and said they were “on drugs but no looking for drugs, they just wanted her jewelry.” According to her report, she was punched in the face as soon as they entered the apartment. She was held down, hit in the back of the head with a lamp and then choked by the cord from the lamp. One man and two females were involved in the incident.

After the burglary ended, the three left in a small gray pickup truck.

The suspects face serious felony charges including aggravated assault, aggravated residential burglary and misdemeanor theft charges.
