JONESBORO, Ark. – Jonesboro Police are continuing to follow up on leads in the Dollar Tree robbery case. A store worker called 911 around 9:30 Sunday night and reported that the store assistant manger had been kidnapped by a suspect at gunpoint after the two had locked the store and were walking away in the parking lot. The kidnapping victim, 45 year old Lori Pixler, was later found to have been struck by a vehicle along I555.
Investigators are continuing to follow up on a number of leads that are being received from various sources. They are also combing the area along the route taken by the suspect as he left the store with his victim for any possible evidence, witnesses or video surveillance.
Officials with the Ark State Crime lab have been in contact with investigators concerning details of the incident, but have not yet completed any reports or released any findings.
