JONESBORO, Ark. – Whether they were junkies looking for a quick fix or just dishonest people, thieves made new victims in Jonesboro this week.
A homeowner selling a property at the 2400-block of Mary Jane Drive became a target for thieves after they lifted the entire air conditioner unit from the property.
The unit was valued at over $1000, making the theft a felony.
It wasn’t the only theft reported to JPD Tuesday, however. Authorities visited an apartment at the 500-block of Meadowbrook Street Tuesday about a residential burglary, where the victim came home to find her front door kicked open. Items in the house had been gone through but nothing appeared to be stolen.
