JPD names suspect in shooting of two

Jonesboro Police sought and obtained an arrest warrant for Thomas Lee Razor III (AKA “Pickle”), 19 yoa of Jonesboro, in connection with a shooting that occurred on 9/15/16 at 3103 Race St. in Jonesboro. The warrant is for the offenses of Criminal Attempt to Commit 1st Degree Murder, Terroristic Act, Aggravated Robbery and Battery 1st Degree.

possible gunshots in the Race St. area. A few minutes later, a patrol officer observed a vehicle traveling near Johnson Ave and Airport Rd. at a high rate of speed with a flat tire. The vehicle pulled over and occupants of the vehicle flagged the officer down. They informed him that there were two men in the vehicle who had been shot.

The victims were transported to the hospital where they were identified as Josh Cherrith, 20 years old of Blytheville, and Dequantez Lawless, 21 years old of Trumann. Cherrith was treated at the hospital for a minor injury and was later arrested for unrelated offenses. Lawless was also treated and released.

Officers located the crime scene at 3103 Race St. and detectives responded to that area to investigate.

An additional suspect, who is a juvenile, has been arrested.
