
JONESBORO, Ark. – While a man attended church services, he became a victim of a residential burglary, according to his report.
The report, released Thursday by Craighead County Sheriff’s Department, said a man explained to authorities on Monday how he had been at church the previous day when the incident took place.
Someone entered his residence on County Road 309, took two firearms and also stole money. The man did not notice the theft had occurred until Sunday night.
A .22 Sears, Roebuck & Co. rifle and a 16-gauge Stevens pump action shotgun were reported stolen.
Authorities have been investigating the incident.
A recent arrest in the county this week, reported by KAIT, was made of a man suspected of breaking into structures in the county. The locations he was suspected of breaking into were not specified.
