JONESBORO, Ark. – Eight vehicles were broken into and one stolen sometime over the weekend at an auto yard, according to a report filed with Jonesboro Police Department.
B&B Auto Salvage and Sales at 4606 Keller’s Chapel Road was the target for the vehicle vandals between Saturday evening at 6 p.m. and Monday morning.
Thieves took $3,000 in stereo equipment before stealing a 2007 Chevrolet Equinox off of the lot. A Craighead County Sheriff’s Deputy located the vehicle in a ditch with a cell phone left behind. Police impounded the vehicle to process it for evidence.
While studying the vehicle, detectives found a projectile deflection mark which was consistent with bullet trajectory. An eight inch blonde/brown hair attached to the dashboard was also recovered.
Suspects face at least four felonies, including theft of a vehicle, breaking or entering, theft greater than $1,000, and criminal attempt. If you can lead authorities to the perpetrators, call Crimestoppers at 935-STOP.
