Jonesboro doctor's office burglarized

JONESBORO, Ark. – A commercial burglar targeted a doctor’s office in Jonesboro on Sunday morning.

Just after 6 a.m., an alarm attracted Jonesboro Police Department to a doctor’s office at the 3200-block of Methodist Drive in Jonesboro. The alarm company reported motion sensors had detected activity near a northeast window, later discovered broken out.

Officers cleared the building to make sure no suspects were still present.

Once cleared, a Toshiba laptop was found missing from one of the offices.

The suspect faces both felony and misdemeanor charges for the act, including felony commercial burglary and theft of $1,000 or less in property, for the stolen computer.

Earlier in the evening was a burglary at Stone’s Pharmacy on Matthews Avenue in Jonesboro. The report came in after 1 a.m., with suspects having thrown a piece of concrete through the glass door, shattering it.

Suspects in this incident also face felony commercial burglary charges as well as criminal mischief misdemeanors.
